The Catholic position on the current American gambit…

“In the Divine Comedy, when Dante came to the ninth circle, he found sodomites and usurers in the same circle. That’s the Catholic position. We are against sodomy and usury. The sodomite takes what is fruitful–namely, sex–and makes it sterile. The usurer takes what is sterile–namely, money–and makes it fruitful. And that’s why they’re both in Hell together, because they were both engaged in unnatural acts. Which party is against both sodomy and usury? Find me that party, and I’ll vote for that candidate.”
